Before you arrive...

Here are some answers to our most commonly asked questions:
1) Where do you perform?

Shore Cultural Centre. For more detailed information, click here.

2) Where do I park?

Shore Cultural Centre has plenty of parking in the lots which surround the building.

3) What should I wear to a concert?

We want you to be comfortable. Some people prefer to dress up, some prefer to dress casually, and some prefer a combination. The orchestra typically wears suits and ties, but our concerts are not formal black-tie events. One thing to remember is that Shore Cultural Centre does not have air conditioning, so if it's warm outside, it's likely to also be warm in Shore.

4) How long is a typical concert?

Concerts vary in length, but are typically 80-100 minutes and include a 15 minute intermission.

5) Are there snacks?

Yes! We typically have chips, popcorn, cookies, coffee, soda and water. All food and drink items are available for $1 each. We also have merchandise available for sale, including ESO car magnets, tumblers and tote bags.

6) When should I clap?

There is no written rule about when you should applaud and when you should stay silent. In general, most orchestras ask that you not applaud between movements of a large work, like a symphony, and ask that you only applaud at the very end. For us, if you have an emotional moment and you want to react, do it! This is especially true at our holiday and pops concerts - if you enjoy something and want to laugh, applaud or sing along, do it!

7) What is your policy on cell phones?

In order to minimize distractions for the musicians on stage, we ask that you please silence or turn off your cell phones, but we highly encourage you to take pictures of your time and share them on social media.
