Children's Concert

The Euclid Symphony Orchestra has a long and proud history of sharing the value and joy of music with Euclid public and parochial school children in grades 3-6. The Children’s Concert dates back to 2003 and has remained a central focus of the Orchestra’s activities. Today, with the support of generous individual and business partners, the Orchestra’s community program reaches more than 1,000 Euclid school children every May.

The purpose of the Children’s Concert is to help foster a love of music and a lifetime of involvement with the musical arts. The Euclid Board of Education provides the school buses to deliver the children to the Shore Cultural Centre, although some schools have been known to walk the distance.

There have been countless studies proving the positive effect of music on the human brain and for many young people these concerts may be their first or only exposure to classical music.  For some, it may open and inspire a whole new world.

The children’s concerts are programmed specifically for young audience members and will engage the students with active participation with the orchestra.  We have the ability to seat 1800 students.

If you are interested in bringing your class of students to our Children’s Concert, please send a request to [email protected].
