Spiritual Echoes: A Black History Celebration Concert

Join the Euclid Symphony Orchestra and Chorus under Music Director Jimmie A. Parker, Sr and Choirmaster Jonathon Turner for Spiritual Echoes 2026: A Black History Celebration, celebrating Black History Month with an exciting fusion of classical and gospel music featuring the Euclid Symphony Orchestra and the Euclid Symphony Orchestra Chorus, performing at the First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 7:30 PM. Classical offerings include Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, Brahms’s Academic Festival Overture, and Stavinsky’s Berceuse and Finale, as well as two popular tenor arias, Puccini’s Nessun Dorma and di Capua and Mazzucchi's Ole Sole Mio. Contemporary gospel works, including featured conductor Stephanie Childers-White's Hosanne in the Highest Reigns, Haddon's He's Able and Cymbala's He's Been Faithful, soar with the rich voices of the large chorus, backed by a full orchestra. Featuring soloist Steven Weems, tenor.
